Whole House Renovation
This project was as rewarding as it was challenging. The most challenging aspect was that they were living overseas and most of our communications were at odd hours of the day. We relied mainly on email for presenting our conceptual designs and budgets. The final design was to take this 1960’s ranch style home and open up the living areas and design a second floor addition over the garage to meet the family’s needs and provide for entertaining. From the curb, this updated ranch style home appears to be just that ~ Updated.
The entry into the home immediately welcomes the guests with rustic Reclaimed Fir timbers. The Hickory Hand-Scraped wood flooring throughout the living areas continues the feel of warmth and comfort. The fireplace is made of stacked limestone and a hand carved mantel. An office was designed off the kitchen for privacy and accessibility for the Homeowner. To meet the family’s growing needs and to entertain their guests, the second floor addition over the garage provides a game room, full bathroom and plenty of storage area. The revitalization of the entire home provided the Homeowner with a fresh start after returning from overseas.
